Window Seals
We are investigating the replacement of the apartment window seals. We have found a local supplier of the seals and are intending to purchase a quantity, of both the internal and external seals, to be kept on site.
It is within the lease agreement that the apartment owner is responsible for their own windows but we have taken the decision to replace the perished outer seals as part of the external decorating program.
Each apartment owner will be responsible for replacing their own internal seals.

Re: Window Seals
Thanks for the information, Simon. Do you know if residents will be able to purchase internal seals through the management company?

Re: Window Seals
You should note that replacing the internal seals involves removing the glazing unit, hence we are only recommending replacing the external seals and repairing the internal seals using a mastic. This topic will be discussed at the AGM
Re: Window Seals
We've met with a Contractor who can replace the seals and, on his advice, we are awaiting his quote for replacing both the internal and external seals. It's not going to be cheap.
